Therapeutic Approaches
REIKI HEALING
Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch, or hovering above the body in place of actual touch in certain areas of the body. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing. Rei means higher knowledge or spiritual consciousness, and Ki means life energy. Reiki, as a whole, is spiritually guided life energy.
The practitioner will always ask before placing hands anywhere directly onto the body.
Phoenix Rising Counseling, LLC would like to introduce two new additions to our team!

Get to know Emily:
I’m currently working towards my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marquette University. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and hold a Practical Nursing License from Lakeshore Technical College. I’m also a member of the American Counseling Association.
With my professional counseling license, I’m looking forward to working with older adolescents, adults, couples, and groups by helping them reach their full potential. I will work collaboratively with you in a way that promotes strength, growth, and healing. It is my goal to meet you where you’re at, but not leave you there! Working from a place of acceptance, compassion, and genuineness is of the utmost importance to me. I believe in each person’s intrinsic value and consider it a privilege to walk with you on your journey.
My current areas of interest include postpartum depression and anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, grief, trauma, self-esteem, and interpersonal conflict.

Get to know Bethany:
Hello, I’m Bethany Harrison. I am so excited to be beginning my professional career counseling journey with Phoenix Rising Counseling LLC! I am a third-year grad student currently enrolled at Marquette University with plans to graduate in 2024. My degree will be in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with special focus on children and adolescents. I genuinely believe that caring for our mental health is essential to our happiness and all humans deserve the right to feel validated and accepted to live our best lives. I am originally from Texas and have planted my roots here in Green Bay. I look forward to honing my counseling skills and learning more about different treatment methods while working with all types of clients. My approach is person-centered, meaning that I trust you are fully capable of knowing what you need to explore and absorb in order to grow and heal in your own way. I advocate for spirituality and mindfulness using solution focused and behavior modification techniques to achieve goals. As your counselor, I offer genuineness, positive regard, and respect for my clients and their mental wellbeing.
