Individual Therapy

Individuals seek counseling for a myriad of reasons and at Phoenix Rising Counseling, we believe in the power of personal healing and growth from a holistic Mind, Body & Spirit Approach. Encompassing all parts of ourselves and recognizing the impact that each have when working together for the wellbeing of the whole.

Couples Therapy

Relationships are a dance of compromise and balance; two people coming together to create a union built on trust, respect and compassion for one another. Life can throw curve balls though and sometimes relationships become stagnant and unhealthy, and in those moments couples therapy can help you work through the areas of dis-ease and create harmony once more.

Group Therapy

Group therapy allows individuals to develop self-awareness by listening to others with similar issues. Group counseling provides a supportive environment to discuss problems and concerns and helps individuals develop communication skills and socialization skills, and allows clients to learn how to express their issues and accept criticism from others.

Family Therapy

The benefits of family therapy:

* A better understanding of healthy boundaries and family patterns and dynamics.
* Reduced conflict and better anger management skills.
* Improved problem solving.
* Enhanced communication.
* Deeper empathy.

Therapeutic Approaches

REIKI HEALING

Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch, or hovering above the body in place of actual touch in certain areas of the body. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing. Rei means higher knowledge or spiritual consciousness, and Ki means life energy. Reiki, as a whole, is spiritually guided life energy.
The practitioner will always ask before placing hands anywhere directly onto the body.

Inner Child Healing

Inner Child Work builds upon the work of renowned therapists such as John BradshawVirginia SatirHal StoneMilton EricksonAlice Miller and many more whose efforts focused on the unmet needs of childhood, and how fulfilling those needs can lead to a complete, more confident and self actualized individual. Inner Child work helps us to heal and reconnect to our authentic selves and teaches us better, healthier ways to re-parent our wounded inner child and provides tools and resources to rise to our best most healthy version of ourselves.

Attending Couples Therapy Alone or With Your Partner

Individual Couples Therapy

Every relationship goes through its ebbs and flows, it’s about how you each individually, and as a unit, react to these ups and down. Through experience, I have learned that working with couples together every session is not always the most effective way to create healing and forward movement. Instead, what we do is work as a couple for one session every two weeks or monthly, and work with each person individually in between. The reason for this is because you each bring your own fears and frustrations to the table, and it necessary to fine tune our own areas that need healing so that we can more effectively come together with a healthy mindset for the overall good of the relationship.

With Your Partner

Marriage counseling can help couples of all types to recognize and resolve conflicts and improve their relationships. Through marriage counseling, you can make thoughtful decisions about rebuilding and strengthening your relationship or learn how to process through a separation/divorce amicably. Taking time to do your own individual work and then being able to bring those tools to the couple’s sessions and put them to work is the ultimate goal for successful marriage counseling.
